I started working on Budget Helper because I wanted to create a free financial planning tool where users maintain full control of their data.

I've always struggled with financial planning—I still do. I'm building this app for people like me: those who find it challenging but are committed to improving. Rather than hosting a server (which would eventually require charging users), I designed Budget Helper to keep your data local and the app free forever.

The inspiration came from my own Google Sheets setup with similar tracking fields and metrics. As a visual person, I added charts to help you see where your money is going at a glance. I'll continue adding features as ideas come up, and I hope you find it useful.
